Is there a standby list for the Star Wars: Galaxy's edge lightsaber experience? It says there are no times available for December 21st and I wanted to see if there was a standby or if we can show up day of and take empty slots? Thank you in advance!

Galactic greetings to you, Natalia! I sense the Force is strong with you and your upcoming journey to a galaxy far, far away, so let’s start planning!

Your December visit to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is going to be here before you know it, and I couldn’t be more excited for you to experience it! My family could spend hours wandering around there, shopping, eating, enjoying epic rides aboard the Millennium Falcon, and becoming the newest recruits for the Resistance

I’m glad you’re thinking about making a reservation for Savi’s Workshop – Handbuilt Lightsabers at the Walt Disney World Resort! Last year, my son saved his birthday money and built a legendary lightsaber at Savi’s Workshop. I was lucky enough to be his Guest, and I have to say that building a lightsaber with him goes down as one of my all-time favorite Disney experiences!

I double-checked the online schedule, and unfortunately, as you mentioned, there aren’t currently any times available for December 21, 2020. The experience has been adjusted slightly in order to accommodate physical distancing between parties, so space is limited. However, all hope is not lost! I chatted with a Cast Member, and she recommended continuing to check online – you never know when other Guests may change their plans. At this time, there aren’t any standby options available. But, if you’re unable to find a time slot before your arrival on December 21, you’re more than welcome to come by Savi’s Workshop to see if any Guests may have canceled their reservations last-minute, or did not arrive on time. If that happens, Cast Members are usually willing to add your reservation so long as you secure your spot at that time with a credit card.

After visiting Savi’s Workshop, I recommend stopping by Batuu’s local watering hole, Oga’s Cantina at the Walt Disney World Resort. It’s just a few steps away from Savi’s Workshop. My family loves sipping on our favorite exotic concoctions while listening to DJ R-3X mix up some beats! Just be sure to make a reservation ahead of time, since this is the place to be in Batuu!

Last but not least, don’t forget that separate valid theme-park admission and a Park Reservation are required for entry into Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

I hope it works out for you to get the chance to build your very own lightsaber, Natalia... and may the Force be with you!
