Christopher from FL Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

Is there a standby list for the Lightsaber experience? I see all of the time are booked for Feb 26, the date we have reservations for Hollywood Studios. I checked the other dates we will be at Disney as well (Feb 25, 27) and those appear to be unavailable.

    Bright Suns, Christopher!

Persistence is an often-tested Jedi quality. The Gatherers at Savi's Workshop rely on their tried and tested reservation system to identify new recruits. As you have discovered, there are many Jedi-in-training crossing the galaxy to build a lightsaber at Savi's Workshop. Stay hopeful - the unpredictability of the First Order can disrupt even the best laid plans and our allies may not make it to their appointed times. So, continue to search for availability. If all else fails, check with a Gatherer just outside of the workshop on the day of your visit to see if they have any walk-in availability.

As you make plans for travel to Batuu, also consider visiting Droid Depot. On our last trip, our girls accepted the challenge and built two. The experience was more intense than I anticipated. Your building skills will be put to the test! Arrive prepared to work efficiently. While there, I stood in awe of the process. It truly was fascinating.

Given the need we have for more Resistance allies, I hope you made plans to join Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. The virtual queue process can be fierce. Make sure you have downloaded the My Disney Experience Mobile App and that everyone traveling with you is connected in your My Family & Friends List.

Christopher, I trust that you will commit to the Cause during your visit on Batuu. Be sure to stop by Oga's Cantina but stay alert. On one visit, a First Order operative entered Oga's while we were there. We froze, hoping to not yet again be captured. Thankfully, we were spared!

    Good journey,
