Hello. Is there a standby line for ROTR? I’m confused about how to ride if I am unsuccessful in purchasing an individual LL for it. Thanks!

Bright Suns Lori-Ann! I am human-cyborg relations and planDisney specialist, here to guide you through your knowledge of the force.

The force was strong with me during my last visit to Batuu, last October. I was lucky enough to join the stand-by line with minimal wait to enjoy the attraction and help the Resistance. Since my visit, I have intercepted a transmission from the Resistance regarding a change in the boarding process for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance.

The Resistance is no longer accepting recruits using the virtual queue at this time. They have a limited number of openings available using the Individual Lightning Lane purchase on your datapad in the My Disney Experience app. However, this ride ex extremely popular, and all the spots are typically gone before the Millennium Falcon can complete the Kessel Run in less than 12 parsecs.

If you are unable to obtain an Individual Lightning Lane selection, there is still hope. I suggest that you arrive at Disney’s Hollywood Studios before the scheduled park opening and head straight towards Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and Rise of the Resistance. It may feel like a pod race on your way to the attraction, but it will be well worth it. You can also monitor the wait times in the My Disney Experience mobile app on your datapad, for a wait time that is suitable to your specifications.

    Til the Spires!
