With a standard Village room for Coronado springs, what is the chance of being in the Cabanas section opposed to the Ranchos area - how many rooms are In each section ?

    Hi Ben! Welcome to planDisney!

I'm excited to hear you'll be staying at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort during your upcoming holiday! I stopped by during a recent stay to dine at one of the fantastic dining locations located here, and we had a wonderful time exploring the resort after dinner. With the addition of the Gran Destino Tower, this resort has everything you want for your stay, including immersive theming, delicious dining options, and a deluxe style feel.

With a Standard Location in the Village, you will most likely be placed in one of the two areas you mentioned. The Ranchos and Cabanas sections of this resort sit the furthest away from the main lobby area, although the main pool is located close by. To be honest, while this resort is rather large, it does not feel that way when staying onsite. With Three Bridges Bar & Grill at Villa del Lago sitting at the center of Lago Dorado and the Dig Site not far away, getting to many popular areas of this resort takes no time at all.

After reviewing a map of the resort, it seems like the Ranchos area has one additional building than the Cabanas area, although I cannot confirm which area has more rooms. If you want to make a request, I suggest calling the Disney Resorts Hotel Reservations line. A Cast Member will note your request on your reservation, and they will do their best to take it into account when assigning your room. Keep in mind that these requests are not guaranteed.

Ben, I hope you have a magical holiday upon your arrival. If you get a chance to grab a bite to eat at your resort, Toledo - Tapas, Steak & Seafood is one of my favorite places to dine. It sits at the top of the Gran Destino Tower and offers a variety of menu creations. I have thoroughly enjoyed every meal I've had here!

    See ya real soon!
