Aloha, Katherine!
Thank you for bringing this question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
I'm super happy to help you not only because I love to help Disney fans, but also because your question brings me the
best memories ever!
My parents, sister, and cousin joined my husband and me for a stay at
Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows last month, and we had an unforgettable vacation. My mom keeps asking me to go back, so we will have to plan another trip soon!
We also had
Deluxe Studios with Standard Views, but with a little resEARch and a sprinkle of Pixie Dust, we could even see the fireworks at
Magic Kingdom Park!
First of all, it's essential to research the longhouses and discover the possibilities. The grounds at Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows are so beautiful that even a garden view can be breathtaking.
All Deluxe Studios with Standard View at the Moorea longhouse, for example, feature gorgeous garden views, especially on the first and second floors. That longhouse is also handy if you plan to do laundry during your trip, as all
Disney Vacation Club members staying at this hotel can use the complimentary laundry in this building.
When I did my research, I decided that the Tokelau longhouse was my favorite. My dear friend Samantha was also there recently at a Deluxe Studio with Standard View, and she told me that she had a gorgeous view of the
relaxing Oasis Pool. How cool is that?
I wanted to have an open view of
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, so I requested a room at the Tokelau longhouse, preferably ending between the numbers 1 and 14. Fortunately, my request was granted and I stayed at room 2913. It was fantastic!
This room is also very close to the end of the building, so my dad and I used to go to the top of the external staircase to watch the fireworks from the third floor. This was our little Disney tradition, and it's one I'll cherish forever.
You can add your room request by
calling the Walt Disney World Resort and adding it as a note in your reservation. While room requests cannot be granted at all times, they can certainly guide the Cast Members if there is availability for that side of the building.
I hope your stay at this fantastic hotel is as marvelous as it can be, Katherine. It is my
favorite Disney Resort hotel, and it can surely become yours!
If more questions pop up before May is here, please, come back. We will be here
dreaming of Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows and waiting to help kind Guests like you!
May the magic be with you,
Julie
