Hi Karen,
Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question!
Disney's Wilderness Lodge offers three room levels: standard view, woods view, and courtyard view. The room levels at Disney's Wilderness Lodge are based on the view rather than the location within the resort. The standard view rooms have a view of service areas, rooftops, or parking areas, and are located throughout the resort. Rooms overlooking the main lobby can likewise be of any level - the classification is by the view from the windows and balconies. You can find more information about rooms on the unofficial site disboards.com. On disboards.com, search for "Wilderness Lodge Room Locations," to find an information thread on Wilderness Lodge and Villas. If you are considering staying at the Villas at Wilderness Lodge, the Disney Vacation Club part of the resort, there are no specific views. Booking at the Villas at Wilderness Lodge, you would choose your room size - studio, one-bedroom, or two-bedroom.
When you are booking your accommodations, speak with the cast member about your specific room request, which can be noted on your reservation. While room requests are not guaranteed, Disney will do their best to honor them. You can also note room requests if you do online check-in before your arrive, or by calling the resort directly within ten days of your arrival.
Getting to each of the theme parks using Disney transportation is easy from Disney's Wilderness Lodge. Bus transportation is available to the theme parks, and boat transportation is available to Magic Kingdom Park. One you are on the transportation, it should take about 20 minutes to get to any theme park. Please note that this is an average estimate and actual times can vary.
Please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions, Karen!
