Where are the standard rooms located at the Polynesian?

Aloha Shelley, and welcome to planDisney!

Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is looking pretty spectacular these days. Have you seen the pictures of the refurbished, Moana-inspired rooms? My family and I are staying here in just a few weeks, and we can't wait for our tropical getaway!

As Disney Vacation Club members, we tend to stay at this resort using our vacation points for standard view deluxe studio accommodations. If you book a standard view deluxe studio, your villa will be located in either Pago Pago (my kids call this building "monorail view" and love to watch the "highway in the sky" as it glides by), Tokelau (you can glimpse the spires of Cinderella Castle from some standard view rooms here if you crane your neck just a tad), or Moorea (the south-facing rooms are standard view).

If you'll be staying in one of the resort's non-Disney Vacation Club longhouses, standard view rooms are located in Tuvalu, Fiji, Aotearoa, Rarotonga, and Niue, and offer views of landscaping, parking lots, or monorail. Wherever you end up, you'll be immersed in lush, tropical surroundings at one of my favorite Walt Disney World resorts, only a stone's throw from the Magic Kingdom Park. The best way to start a Disney day is by sipping a cup of coffee with a view, and I love walking to Kona Island in the morning while Cinderella Castle sparkles in the distance as I pass through the resort grounds.

I hope this is helpful, Shelley! Best wishes for planning your island escape, and if there's anything else we can do as your visit approaches, don't hesitate to reach out again.

    Mahalo!
