Welcome back to planDisney, Sierra!
Thanks for stopping by with a question about
Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. I love walking into the hotel lobby with its cozy craftsman-style theming and those amazing details that make you feel like you’ve stepped into a storybook. Every time I walk into the resort lobby, I love to sit, relax and take in all of the sights and sounds. Let's take a look at what to expect in the standard hotel rooms.
When it comes to the bathroom, most standard rooms have a walk-in shower with a rain shower head, while fewer include a bathtub. Since layouts vary throughout the resort, a tub isn’t guaranteed in this room category. If you'd like to have a room with a bathtub, I recommend adding a request to your reservation or chatting with a Cast Member before arrival. Requests are never guaranteed, but Cast Members will do their best to make it happen.
A little tip: the bathrooms come stocked with Disney’s own shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and hand soap, so you don’t need to pack your own. I find this so helpful, especially when traveling lightly - flying with liquids can take some planning.
One of my favorite perks of staying at the Grand Californian is the proximity to the
Downtown Disney District (you are literally steps away from dining, shops and entertainment) and theme parks. I love accessing
Disney California Adventure Park through the hotel's entrance, which is a short stroll from the hotel lobby.
I hope this helps as you plan your
Disneyland adventure. If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to swing by again!
See ya real soon,
Candace
