Are the standard rooms at Animal Kingdom Lodge a good value?

    Hi Sharon,

We've stayed in the savanna view rooms at Animal Kingdom Lodge Jambo House and it was amazing to wake up with giraffe and zebra off our balcony. That being said, if the standard rooms fit into your plans and budget better, then I would still choose to stay at the Lodge. The gorgeous Resort is highly themed, with incredible attention to detail. Even though you won't see the animals off your own balcony, there are large windows near the elevators on each floor that allow you to look out. In addition, there are several over-looks with "viewing binoculars" (the large stationary type). If you exit through the doors located at the back of the Resort, you'll find a fabulous animal viewing area. We spent a lot of time here, just enjoying the animals. The pool is fantastic, complete with a fun water slide. Also, Boma (one of my favorite restaurants) is not to be missed.

I believe the standard rooms allow a great opportunity to enjoy the Animal Kingdom Lodge while saving some of your money for other experiences at Disney.

Hope this helps and have a wonderful vacation,

    Kaylene
