With a standard room booking, can I request a room in a specific building at Caribbean Beach resort, and if so how?

    Hi Christy! Welcome to planDisney!

Oh boy! A Walt Disney World Resort vacation is on the horizon. You have chosen a great resort to stay in! Over the past few years, the Moderate Resort Hotels have started to feel like deluxe accommodations. The addition of the Gran Destino Tower at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort and the fantastic dining and transportation options at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort has only enhanced each location. The addition of the Disney Skyliner has made all of the difference in choosing which room type you want to stay in.

Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort is separated by a small lake known as Barefoot Bay. The preferred rooms are located in the Martinique and Barbados sections of the resort, which sit next to the lobby, main pool area, bus transportation, and a table service restaurant. In the past, I would have highly recommended choosing a preferred room as the best option. But with the addition of the Disney Skyliner, the standard rooms located in the Jamaica and Aruba sections offer just as much. You are right next to the Skyliner hub in the Jamaica buildings and very close to Disney's Riviera Skyliner station if you stay in the Aruba section. There is also a bridge that starts in between these two sections that take you directly to the Fuentes del Morro Pool and Sebastian's Bistro! It's a fantastic scenic walk to get to the recreation and amenities.

There are a few options to request a specific building at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort. First, you can call the Disney Resort Hotel Reservations line and speak to a Cast Member. They will be able to note this on your reservation and do their best during check-in to put you in your specified room. You can also make requests during the online check-in process. You will be able to start this process up to 60 days before your arrival date. The final thing to do is head over to the front desk upon arrival to speak with a Cast Member there. Even if you may have already called and gone through the online process, it will only benefit you by confirming this information with a Cast Member. Remember, these are only requests and cannot be guaranteed, although Disney does an amazing job at ensuring each Guest is accommodated.

Christy, I can't wait for your upcoming Fall getaway. I hope you have a magical time on your stay!

    Happy planning!
