I have a standard park ticket and have a little one is it ok to leave the park and come back later after nap time? If so, do they provide you with a pass to re-enter?

    Hello Gail,

Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question. Summer will be here before you know it, and it sounds like you'll be taking your little one on that first magical vacation! Be sure to stop by Guest Relations in any of the parks to get a complimentary First Visit button so Cast Members can help you celebrate this special event. If you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, you can also pick one up there.

Even if you didn't have a little one with you, I would definitely recommend taking a break from the parks in the middle of the day, especially in the summer months. It's amazing how much even a short nap or swim break can rejuvenate you so that you are ready for more fun. You won't need a special pass to return. As long as you have your park admission and reservation for the day, you'll can leave and return as many times as you like. I do recommend linking your tickets to your My Disney Experience app on your mobile device. It's just going to make your whole day easier. You'll be able to enter the parks, check the wait times for attractions and shows, mobile order food, and so much more.

Also, be sure to locate the Baby Care Center in whichever park you are visiting. It's an oasis for parents of babies and toddlers. Each Baby Care Center offers a comfortable, quiet, air-conditioned space to feed your little one, change a diaper or outfit, or just take a quiet break from all of the excitement.

Hope this helps. Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
