Hi, we are on the standard dining plan (snack, counter-service, table-service)..how do I maximize meals without having to pay extra? We usually eat 3 meals per day. Also, can we make table-service reservations the same day?

    Hi Jade,

One of the best ways to get the most out of your Disney Dining Plan is to plan on eating breakfast in your room. You can use your snack credits for big muffins or pastries. The snack options are fantastic at Disney though, so you may not want to use up your credits on breakfast food.

What we do is we order muffins, granola bars and other light breakfast items from a company called Garden Grocer. We have also packed granola and breakfast bars in our suitcases, but with the cost of luggage now, we've found it's cheaper to have it delivered there. Garden Grocer will deliver to your resort and it'll be waiting for you when you arrive. We also order cases of water this way, which saves a lot of money.

You may want to try booking a few table service buffet meals for around 10:30am. This ends up more like a brunch this way and you can fill up for breakfast and lunch at once, and then just eat a quick service meal for dinner.

I wasn't sure if you were asking if you can make table service reservations for the same day as a "walk-up" or if you meant can you book 2 table service on one day...so I'll answer both. Disney restaurants are extremely popular, so you'll want to make your Advanced Dining Reservations ahead of time as it can be difficult to get same day, walk-up seating. You can book 2 table service meals on one day and eat 2 quick service meals the next if you'd like. How and when you use your credits is up to you.

Please let me know if you need further clarification and have a wonderful vacation,
