Can I stack lightning lane reservations?

Hey there, Monique, and welcome to planDisney! As we speak, you're at the Most Magical Place on Earth, so I'm sending happy thoughts and pixie dust your way. My family always has a blast using Disney Genie+ service, so let's discuss booking those Lightning Lane entries.

The quick answer to your question is absolutely yes! You can schedule your Lightning Lane return times any way you like. As long as you've waited at least two hours since booking your last one or scanned into your most recently booked attraction, you can keep selecting return times however you like.

Please keep in mind that with Disney Genie+ service, you won't be able to choose a specific return window for Lightning Lane entry. When I'm eligible to book my next attraction, I usually skim the list to see the current return times for experiences and choose accordingly.

When you book return times for later in the day, some guests have dubbed that "stacking." For example, on my recent visit to Disney's Hollywood Studios, I booked my first Lightning Lane entry at 7:00 AM from my hotel room. I chose Slinky Dog Dash since it often runs out of options, and my return window was 5:00 PM. The theme park opened at 9:00 AM, so I could make my second selection at 11:00 AM for Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway with a return time starting at 3:30 PM. Two hours later, at 1:00 PM, I was eligible to choose another experience, so I picked Toy Story Mania with a return window at 6:45 PM.

So, at 3:30, I rode Runaway Railway; at 5:00, I headed for Slinky Dog Dash; and at 6:45, I soundly beat my husband on Toy Story Mania. It made for a whirlwind afternoon full of fun!

My tip is to enjoy activities until your "stacking time" begins. We like to go to shows like Beauty and the Beast - Live on Stage and the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular. The Tip Board in your mobile app is a great tool to help you find attractions and shows with low wait times, and there are always snacks to be eaten!

Disney Genie+ service can be a little daunting the first time guests use it, but it's easy to master. Your Genie+ style will evolve, and I can't wait to hear how it works out! Please stop by planDisney anytime, Monique!

    Magic awaits,
