We are going to SSR in December of 2018. I have never been there so what area should we request so to be close mainly to transportation I know there are 5 stops on this property. Second priority is near Downtown Disney being at main bldg. not so important.

    Hi Bruce,

Thank you for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your great question.  My family and I love staying at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, we find it very peaceful and love it's proximity to Disney Springs!

Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa is one of the larger Resort Hotels on Walt Disney World Resort Property, and before our first stay, I was hesitant because of the transportation as well.  I have found that each "area" has it's own Bus Transportation Stop and they are all located within a reasonable walking distance to all of the buildings.  With that being said, I prefer Congress Park (specifically rooms 1501 - 1836) as our location since it is closest to the bus stop.  Congress Park is also within walking Distance to Disney Springs, and has a fantastic view.  Congress Park is considered to be a Preferred Location, which is something to take note of when booking your stay.

If you are not in a Preferred Location, my next choice in terms of location would be the Paddock Area.  This is close to the Paddock Pool as well as very close to transportation and the water-taxi to Disney Springs.

I hope you have a magical time at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, Bruce.  If you see me please say hi, my family and I will be staying there over the holidays and have requested Congress Park as well!
