What is sq ft size difference of Contemporary garden or std room vs deluxe garden? Also do the deluxe garden connect to a std garden room? To be closest to pool and main tower-transportation, would that be bldg 5? Thanks!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Anita! We're happy to have you here again.

Disney's Contemporary Resort is one of my absolute favorite Disney Resort Hotels. From its walking path to Magic Kingdom Park and the Top of the World Lounge for Disney Vacation Club Members, this resort's amenities are second to none.

Since you're looking into rooms in the Garden Wing, let's see if we can make sure your stay is a perfect fit. First, you are correct that in the Garden Wing area, building five, with rooms 5101- 5372, are the closest to the pool and the access to the Tower. If you want to up the convenience factor further, consider requesting a ground floor room with a patio.

Second, in comparing the standard room to the deluxe room, the deluxe room boasts approximately 215 additional square feet, with lots of floor space and a sitting area. However, it might be helpful to know that these rooms only sleep four people while some of the standard rooms sleep five. In addition, in speaking with a Cast Member, he noted that there are very few of the deluxe rooms and not connecting. If connecting rooms are a priority, make sure to note that upon booking and when you complete online check-in.

Anita, I hope this helps as you are planning your upcoming trip. If you choose to stay at Disney's Contemporary Resort, make sure to indulge in the cupcakes at Contempo Cafe- they are an artisan's dream!

Best wishes for a Magical stay!
