Hi Elizabeth,
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am so happy to see that you are planning to purchase the
Disney Deluxe Dining Plan!
Unfortunately, you cannot convert snack credits to meal credits on a
Disney Dining Plan. When my family has used the Disney Deluxe Dining Plan in the past, however, we have never needed additional meal or snack credits. As it seems you are doing, we planned our meals in advance. We typically do at least two signature meals on the Disney Deluxe Dining Plan and those signature meals require two table-service credits per person 3-years and older on the dining plan. Even with doing those signature dining experiences, we still had enough meals!
On a prior trip, on at least one day, we did a late breakfast, skipped lunch and did an early dinner. On our arrival day, we typically do not use any of our snack credits so we have additional credits to use on another day. And we always map out our meals so that we have one meal remaining on the day we depart. We also rarely use our snack credits for drinks. We take our own water bottles and then use our resort refillable mugs at the resort to get sodas or other non-alcoholic beverages.
We also, as a family, review the menus of the restaurants for which we having dining reservations. And, if you have a reservation at Be Our Guest restaurant in Magic Kingdom, I suggest that you do the order-ahead dining. Doing so will save you time in line when you arrive at the restaurant.
Elizabeth, I trust you will have amazing dining experiences at the Walt Disney World Resort!
Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
Donyell
