Spring Break trip to WDW. I have older relatives who have trouble walking. Trying to decide whether to rent offsite ECVs. How fast do they generally run out of ECVs to rent in the parks?

    Hi Adora!

Thanks for the question. We have a special needs son so we always need an ECV when we visit Walt Disney World. The times we have rented one at the Parks has always been seamless and easy and we have never had a problem, although these rentals are based on availability. Keep in mind that ECVs rented in the Parks, though, cannot be taken out of the Parks which means you will need your own transportation to and from the Parks. If you are Park Hopping, you will need to turn your ECV in at the first Park you visit before heading to the next one (where you can simply present your receipt to rent an ECV without another charge in the same day.) This is a great way to go but I would definitely recommend looking into Disney's Featured Providers. These are privately owned companies in the Orlando area who deliver your ECV directly to your hotel on the day of your arrival and pick it up again when you leave. You can keep it the entire length of your visit which makes it very convenient to travel to and from the Parks. Be sure to make arrangements before you arrive if you choose this option.

Thanks so much for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. We love helping Guests plan their Walt Disney World visits so please come back if we can do anything else for you. Here's wishing you a magical vacation.

    Have a wonderful day!
