we are going spring break and purchased the 1s, 1qs, 1ts plan - but our now reconsidering - looks like kids can only order what is on kids menu and its not much of a selection. Do you really save that much $ with the plan or should we just pay as we go?

    Hi Crystal,

Without understanding how your family likes to dine and what you might order, it's hard to give any advice.  Some families save a great deal on the Disney Dining Plan; others not so much or none at all.  However, you can easily do the math yourself. I suggest going to the independent site AllEars.Net.  Their address is www.allears.net.  There you can look at the menus for various Table Service and Quick Service restaurants.  Pick out items for a couple of "example days" and see how much money you would save.

If you decide to stay on the Disney Dining Plan, be sure to have reservations for your Table Service meals.  Unfortunately I've seen a few guests over the years visit with the Dining Plan, but without any reservations.  In those cases, they did not think they got the best value for their dollars because they couldn't get into the restaurants they wanted to.

    Have a magical vacation!
