Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Megan! Rider Switch is something our family couldn’t live without. One big kid and one little kid means my husband and I take turns chaperoning our daughter while the fun happens.
You’ll be happy to know that so many attractions throughout Walt Disney World Resort, and Magic Kingdom in particular will offer
Rider Switch to families that need them. We most often use our Rider Switch at
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, where my son would spend his whole day! Rides such as The Haunted Mansion are a great use of this service if you have a scaredy cat that doesn’t enjoy floating around with Madame Leota. While Pirates of the Caribbean isn’t an official attraction offering Rider Switch (since there is no height requirement), you can ask the Cast Member at the front of the queue as you normally would. Journey into Imagination is not a Rider Switch attraction, but I was able to request and secure a Rider Switch when my daughter was very young and did not want to ride, while the other three of us were dying to use our Imagination and explore!
I hope that your entire family enjoys your vacation. Be sure to check out
The Pirate’s League before you depart on your vacation… the mermaid and pirate makeovers for those age 3 and up could sway your kids to enjoy the “pirate party” after all! Yo, Ho, Yo, Ho, a pirate’s life for me! ~ Lindsey P.
