My spouse and I are taking our to be 2 year old son. Booked a room at the Music value resort and thought I would upgrade later once I fig stuff out. Should I upgrade if money werent really and issue? Told you dont spend time in room anyway so why, But...

Hi Shawn!  The main reason I encourage people to consider upgrading is for the additional amenities at the moderate and deluxe resorts.  The pools will be more elaborate to include slides, you can choose a resort located on water to add some water recreation options during your stay, in room refrigerators at many resorts, and more dining options right in your resort are just a few thoughts and reasons.

All Disney resorts include that special "magic" free of charge.  I would not hesitate staying at any and it ends up being a budget decision as well as amenity decision.  If you are only using a resort as a place to sleep at night it doesn't make a lot of sense to spend the extra money to upgrade to a higher level location since you are not planning on being there to use the facilities!  Some families enjoy taking time to relax outside of the parks and then other families are on the go in the parks constantly from the minute they arrive to the minute they depart!
