Bright Suns, Kaila! It's great to see you here today at the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
I had a chance to visit
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at
Disney's Hollywood Studios on its opening week in August and I'm so excited for you to make your own journey to Batuu soon. There is so much to see and do, but one of my favorite experiences was forging a lightsaber at
Savi's Workshop. You might have to keep a low profile though because Black Spire Outpost is currently under the control of the First Order. There are Stormtroopers patrolling the area to make sure that there is no Resistance activity going on, so the "Gatherers" at Savi's Workshop have to keep a low profile and stay hidden. If you're having trouble locating the entrance, try asking some of the citizens of Batuu where you might be able to find some "scrap metal". They'll know what you're talking about and help you find your way.
I have good news for you, Kaila! Because your Jedi youngling is under the age of three and doesn't need a ticket, he can accompany you inside Savi's Workshop when you go to build your lightsaber. Strollers, or "pod racers" as they call them on Batuu, are not permitted though and must be parked outside. Either you or your spouse will need to be holding your son at all times but he will be able to join you for the experience!
'Til the Spire, Kaila, and have some Blue Milk for me!
