Dwight from WA Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

We are from Spokane Wa. We have been to CA Disney many many times but never for the Christmas night time show that I believe is between Thanksgiving and Christmas. It's a show or musical time only done one weekend from what I understand. Dates ??

Hey there, Dwight, and welcome to planDisney! Thanks so much for stopping by with your question.

I absolutely love the Disneyland Resort during the Holiday Season - it's my family's favorite time to visit. There's not much that beats the festive events, lights, and music through the parks!

I'm thinking you might be referring to the Candlelight Ceremony, which is typically only held one or two nights per year in Disneyland Park and has been an annual tradition going back to 1958. I've never had the chance to see this personally, but I've heard it is incredibly beautiful. There was a great Disney Parks Blog article about the event last year that covered some details.

There have not been any announcements about this event for 2023, but in my experience, it is not widely publicized as it is already a very packed event as it is. I'm not sure when this event will be held this year, so you might just need to stay tuned to official news sources like the Disney Parks Blog

However, beyond that there are so many amazing things to see and do around the Disneyland Resort during the holiday season! If we're talking entertainment, there is World of Color - Season of Light (one of my favorite World of Color iterations), A Christmas Fantasy Parade, and "Believe...In Holiday Magic" Fireworks.

I also highly recommend catching a glimpse of the "it's a small world" Holiday Lighting and the fun holiday overlays to certain attractions like Haunted Mansion Holiday, Luigi's Joy to the Whirl, and Mater's Jingle Jamboree

Finally, when my family and I visit, we always make it a point to stop at multiple Disney Festival of Holidays booths to try festive cuisines from all over the world! There are so many festive and fun things to do that I'm positive you'll have more holiday spirit than Scott Calvin in the Santa Clause by the end of your trip!

Thanks again for your question, Dwight! I hope you have the best time visiting the Merriest Place on Earth later this year!

    Have a Magical Day,
    Greg
