Hi there, Jamie, and welcome back to planDisney!
Let the countdown to your most magical vacation begin! First of all,
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort is a great choice during your stay. Its restaurant Sebastian's Bistro and its proximity to the Disney Skyliner make it one of my family's favorite Resort hotels. Let's get into how the Disney Skyliner can get you to
Disney's BoardWalk area in a jiffy.
The
Disney Skyliner ride between Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort and the EPCOT International Gateway (where you would walk from to get to
Cape May Cafe at Disney's Beach Club Resort) is a bit over 10 minutes. It is by far my favorite way to get from the island vibes of the hotel to the laidback feel of the BoardWalk. And it's always so nice to feel the breeze through the gondola's slats and to take in the sights below you as you set out on your adventure.
A good rule of thumb is that the Disney Skyliner operates between an hour to an hour and a half before the participating theme parks' hours. So, if EPCOT opens at 9 a.m., there is a high chance that the Disney Skyliner won't start running until 7:30 or 8 a.m. However, the Disney Skyliner hours vary, so I recommend that you ask a friendly Cast Member at the Front Desk to see if they can provide you with more information about the Disney Skyliner's operational hours during your stay at Walt Disney World Resort. You may be surprised to hear that 7 a.m. is the starting time on your big day!
AN EXTRA GEM: Check out the
My Disney Experience app daily to see if you can modify your breakfast reservation time for Cape May Cafe. Other Guests like you and I take advantage of the 2-hour free cancellation policy for restaurants all the time. So, you never know if you can get a slightly later reservation time even by checking the night before.
Jamie, if you have any other Disney vacation planning questions,
revisit us here at planDisney. I'm all ears!
Magic always,
