Welcome back to planDisney, Laura!
How exciting that you'll be enjoying the fall season at the Most Magical Place on Earth. I will also be headed to Walt Disney World this October and can't wait to see those pumpkins on Main Street, U.S.A., and try all of the fall-themed treats!
Laura, you're speaking my pixie-dusted language when you talk about split stays. My family and I often will resort-hop to two or even three different
Disney Resort Hotels over the course of one vacation. In fact, next week I'll be starting our trip at
Disney's Old Key West Resort and then ending our stay at
Disney's BoardWalk Villas. I think it's a great way to have double the fun!
Now, since both of the Disney Resort Hotels that you have chosen are accessible via the
Disney Skyliner, you can easily "fly" to your new home! Laura, while I couldn't find any information specific to carrying luggage aboard the Disney Skyliner, the
Walt Disney World Property Rules, in general, does read that
"We reserve the right not to allow any bag, parcel or other item and to deal with any unattended object, bag or luggage in such way as we consider appropriate." This indicates that while it's possible you can carry on your suitcases, it's also possible that a Cast Member may not allow boarding with too much baggage. My best recommendation would be to pack any "must-haves" (such as medication or maybe a swimsuit to enjoy the pool at your second resort) into a backpack or single bag and drop the other bags at
Bell Services for complimentary transfer. While you were likely hoping for a very specific yes or no, I do hope this helps as you're deciding how to move to your second location.
I'll be wishing on a star that you have a fairytale visit to both
Disney's Pop Century Resort and
Disney's Yacht Club Resort. If you have any additional questions, please don't hesitate to visit us again here at planDisney.
