Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Matthew! Thanks for bringing us such a great question!
Don’t you just love the convenience of the Disney Dining Plans?! As a planner myself, knowing my meals are taken care of is a wonderful thing to have checked off my list. I hope you are having fun planning your visits to your favorite Walt Disney World Resort restaurants. Getting reservations for your favorites locked in early is always a good idea! You can begin making those as early as 180 days in advance!
Matthew, when you book a
Magic Your Way Vacation package with a
Disney Dining Plan at multiple resort hotels, your dining plan will begin and end on your check-in and check-out days. So, unfortunately, those credits will not transfer from one reservation to the next. If you chose to book a split stay with different DDP's, here are some important things to keep in mind. Your Dining Plan credits will expire at midnight on the day you check-out. So, if you chose to book your first half with a Disney Dining Plan that includes 1 Table Service, 1 Quick Service, and 2 snack credits per guest (over the age of 3) per night, on your first half of your stay, any unused credits for that DDP will expire at midnight on the night you are checking out. The new credits for your second half of your stay will then begin at check-in on your second resort hotel stay.
If you need further clarification about how a split stay with Disney Dining Plan works, feel free to contact a Cast Member at (407) 939-5277 and they will be able to answer all your questions in further detail.
I hope you have a magical visit, Matthew! If you have any more questions, please don’t hesitate to bring them our way.
