Hi Heath!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! We are delighted that you brought this delicious dining plan question to us!
When we have done split stays with one of the
Disney Dining Plans for the second part of the trip but not the first, we have been able to start using the dining plan for breakfast on the first day of the second half of the stay. I suggest that you complete
online check-in for the second part of the stay and check out of the first resort prior to heading to breakfast. Know that you can have your luggage transferred by Bell Services to your second resort so that you can just enjoy your day in the parks or at Disney Springs!
The last time we did a split stay, we stayed in a
Club Level Concierge room for the first part of our stay at Disney's BoardWalk Inn and then moved to Disney's Polynesian Village Resort with the Disney Deluxe Dining Plan. Club Level Concierge was quite lovely but I was glad to have access to dining plan entitlements for the second part of our trip because we could use those entitlements in the parks and resorts.
Prior to our trips, I create a chart with all of our
advanced dining reservations and I indicate the number and type of meal entitlements we will use at each location. Doing a chart helps me to make sure that we have enough meal entitlements remaining on the last day to have breakfast or lunch. We prefer dining at a character meal on the final morning so that we get one last bit of magic on that sad, sad departure day!
Heath, sending you pixie dust as you plan your meals!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
