Hi Leticia!
Welcome back to planDisney! How exciting that you're planning another visit to Walt Disney World Resort for next year! With room and package reservations now open through October 2027, it is the perfect time to start planning your vacation and secure those hard-to-get room categories.
Leticia,
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is nothing short of a tropical paradise. . .with a touch of pixie dust, of course! I particularly love dining at
'Ohana (it's my husband's favorite dinner in all of Walt Disney World) and watching
Happily Ever After from the beach. Split stays are a great opportunity to experience multiple resorts, or in your case, multiple room categories at the same resort. To book a split stay, you would actually book two separate reservations. Both reservations would be saved in the
plans section of your My Disney Experience, and you'd see the overlap on the day that you check out of one room and into the other.
If your current reservation was made directly through Walt Disney World, you should see an option to
change/modify your plans in My Disney Experience. When you click "Change Reservation," you can select from available resort and room options for your dates. After shortening your current reservation, you can then book your second stay. Before you start to make your changes, I'd suggest confirming the availability of your selected room types for your dates with a quick search. You could also
call a Cast Member at Tickets and Hotel Reservations, who can assist you with changing your current reservation if you prefer.
I hope this information has been helpful, Leticia, and I'm sending the happiest of thoughts your way as you continue to plan a magical vacation! You've got a friend in me here at planDisney, so please stop by again if you have any other questions!
To Infinity and Beyond!
