Welcome to planDisney, Jessica! Thanks for stopping by with your vacation planning question! A split stay at the Walt Disney World Resort is a great way to see and experience more during your visit - as someone who aims to have a chance to experience each and every unique Disney Resort hotel, you've chosen two great resorts that are still on my to-do list!
Extended Evening Theme Park Hours allows guests of Disney Deluxe Resorts, Disney Deluxe Villa Resorts, and other select hotels to take advantage of extra time in the park after closing on select nights. With your split stay reservations, you will still be considered a guest of
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort until midnight on the day of your checkout, so you are more than welcome to attend the Extended Evening Hours on that night to make the most of this benefit!
While offerings are subject to change, current Extended Evening Hours take place at Magic Kingdom Park on Wednesday nights, which makes traveling by
Disney Monorail from the Polynesian a super convenient way to access the magic! One thing to keep in mind, though, is transportation options to
Disney's Art of Animation Resort could be limited following extended hours since it is not an included resort hotel for this benefit. I'd recommend using the
Minnie Van Service powered by Lyft following the event if needed! It's a fast and convenient way to get back home, especially after a late night of fun!
Jessica, I'd also like to remind you that during Extended Evening Hours, there will be an opportunity for eligible guests to join a 6 PM Virtual Queue for an extra chance to enter the grid on
TRON/Lightcycle Run! This thrilling ride is even more fun at night, in my opinion, so definitely set an alarm to remind you to grab a boarding group when the time comes!
I hope this is helpful, Jessica, and I hope you have the best time exploring both of the magical Disney Resort hotels you have chosen! Be sure to keep your eyes on the
Disney Parks Blog in the coming months for more announcements about festive fall fun, including the dates for
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party; it's another great opportunity to spend some extended time at Magic Kingdom Park during the spooky season!
Boo to you,
Alison
