Hello and welcome to planDisney, Astra!
Thank you for sending a great question our way. It is a pleasure to help you plan a pixie-dusted Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
I always try to make the most of my visits to
The Most Magical Place on Earth, so I usually book split stays to enjoy different
Disney Resorts Collection hotels. Split stays allow me to take advantage of what my favorite Disney Resort hotels have to offer. Whenever it is time to switch resorts, it feels like I am about to experience a whole different vacation!
Although you get to immerse yourself in the magic of different Disney Resort hotels, split stays also mean you have two separate 60-day windows to consider while making
dining reservations. Since Disney Resort hotel Guests can make reservations up to 60 days in advance plus the length of their stay (for up to a 10-night stay), at the 60-day mark of the check-in date for your first reservation, you will be able to make dining reservations for the length of that stay. When you hit the 60-day mark for your second hotel reservation, you will then be able to make reservations for the length of that stay.
planDisney tip: Did you know you do not have to worry about transferring your luggage between Disney Resort hotels? Contact Bell Services at your first resort the day before your check-out date, and they will coordinate the transfer with you. It may take a few hours for your luggage to arrive at your second resort, so be sure to keep important items like medication, personal documents, and MagicBands with you.
I hope this information is helpful, Astra. Come back to visit us if you have additional questions, and have a magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
Best Disney wishes,
Thiana
