Split stay: My plan was to book the first resort for 4 nights, get park tickets & dining plan for 8 days then book a room only reservation for the last 4 nights at another resort. Will our dining plan & tickets (MBs) be valid when we get to the 2nd

    Hi Trina,

You have a very good question!  I have experience with staying at 2 different Resort hotels for a few of my vacations.  Split stays can be a great way to see more than one fabulous Disney Resort hotel during your vacation.

For a split stay such as you proposed in your question, you will be able to use the theme park tickets that you purchased with your first Resort hotel stay during the second Resort hotel stay, provided it is still within 14 days of their first use.  However the Disney Dining Plan can only be purchased as part of a vacation package (Resort hotel + tickets) and the number of meals is based on the number of nights associated with your Resort hotel reservation.  For instance, if you purchase a vacation package with the Disney Dining Plan for 4 nights you will receive 4 "days" of meals according to the specific Dining Plan that you selected.  Your meal and snack credits expire at midnight on your room check-out day and you cannot add or subtract days to your Disney Dining Plan like you are able to do with theme park tickets.

Unfortunately the answer to your question is yes for the tickets, but no for the Disney Dining Plan.  I hope this information helps you make your Disney Resort hotel decisions.  Thank you for submitting your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!  Please let us know if you have any further questions, we are always happy to help!
