I have a split stay .. 6 nights at the Caribbean and 10 nights at the Wilderness Lodge. How does that work with making dining reservations, if I can only book up to 10 days at a time? Do I only make reservations for the first 6 days and then wait to start

    Hi Cheri! Welcome to planDisney.

What a dreamy set of Disney Resorts Collection hotels you have booked - I am swooning! From the cozy charm of Disney's Wilderness Lodge to the pastel and palm tree paradise at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, you have set yourself up to experience two vacations in one. That's the power of magic!

I have my own split stay coming up and am happy to share how your dining reservations will work. When you reach 60 days from the check-in date for your first resort hotel, you will be able to make dining reservations for all the dates you are staying there, up to 10 days. Then, when you reach 60 days from the check-in date for your second resort hotel, you will be able to make dining reservations for the days you'll be staying at that resort hotel, for up to 10 days. So, in your example, 60 days from your check-in date for Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, you'll be able to make dining reservations for all 6 days of your stay there. Then, 60 days from your check-in date for Disney's Wilderness Lodge, you'll be able to make dining reservations for the 10 days of that stay.

Cheri, I strongly recommend that you make your 6 days worth of dining reservations and then check to see if the system lets you secure reservations beyond those 6 days. I don't think the system will allow you to make reservations beyond the length of stay number 1, but it's worth checking just in case.

You should be able to make dining reservations beginning at 6:00 a.m. Mickey Time (EST) 60 days from each check-in date. I like to log in to My Disney Experience a few minutes early so I'm ready to go. It's also a good idea to make your reservations in priority or difficulty order, not date order - if there's a much-hoped-for reservation, try to place it toward the end of your vacation, and book it first.

I'm sending pixie dust that you get the dining reservations you're dreaming of! If you think of any further questions as you plan this epic visit to the Walt Disney World Resort, please come back and see us.

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Robyn
