    want split stay next trip 9/2014. noticed free DDP this time frame. Should we make sure we have a 5/5 stay in case offered, or will matter with total days stay being enough for the DDP. Was thinking AOA-3 and POR-7 til noticed terms last free offer 2013.

    My family loves taking advantage of Disney's free dining promotion, with a family loves dining at Walt Disney World it really helps to save our Disney dollars.Disney has been offering free dining for several years in September, I do want to caution you of the possibility that it may not be offered next year.Over the past few years Disney has offered the free dining promotion for much longer periods of time, the time period that it has been offered in 2013 has been dramatically reduced.  I certainly have no knowledge if it will be back next year or not, I just want to caution you of the possibility.

    Typically, the free dining promotion will require the purchase of a Magic Your Way package with a minimum number of nights at a Disney owned resort and a minimum base ticket purchase.For 2013, you must purchase a Magic Your Way Package with a minimum of a 3 nights stay at a Disney owned resort and a minimum 2 day base ticket.If it is indeed offered next year, these requirements for accommodations and ticket purchase could differ.  

    In order to book a split stay during the free dining promotion, this will require booking two different reservations.You can choose the amount of nights at either resort as long as it fills the minimum requirements eligible for this promotion.For example, staying 3 nights at Art of Animation and 7 nights at Port Orleans would meet the minimum requirements in 2013 as long as you include a minimum 2 day base ticket with each portion of your stay. Your dining credits at  Art of Animation will be valid until midnight on your check-out day,even if you have already checked into Port Orleans.They will not carry over to your reservation at Port Orleans so just make sure to use these dining credits before midnight on the day your check out of Art of Animation or they will be gone.
