With a split stay and the new date-based ticket system, does the Fastpass window open 60 days before you check-in to your Disney resort, or 60 days from the start of the first day of your park tickets?

Hi, Amanda! This is a really great question, so I am glad you stopped by today to chat with us!

Walt Disney World Resort introduced a new ticketing structure last year. Tickets are now date-based and guests  must choose a start date for them during purchase. The expiration date on your tickets will depend on how many days you purchased and if you also purchased any add-on options, such as Park Hopper. Be sure to look over this great FAQ to determine the use period for your tickets.

As the ticketing and FastPass+ terms currently work, your FastPass+ window will open 60 days in advance of your Walt Disney World Resort hotel check-in date. Since you are doing a split stay, you may find that only the days of your initial resort stay will open on that 60-day mark. Once you reach 60 days from your second resort's check-in date, then the dates of that stay will open. I have had a few split stays in the past couple of years and have had different experiences with how the system opened those FastPass+ windows. This last visit, it worked as I noted above. However, in the previous few times it opened all of the days for both stays when I hit 60 days from that first check-in date. All worked out well with each method, as I was able to get the experiences we wanted. I am sure you will also have a magical morning making all of those FastPass+ selections!

I hope this helps you plan for your upcoming visit to Walt Disney World Resort. Please let us know if you have any other questions as you continue to plan your pixie-dusted adventures!
