Hello! We have a split stay feb 2025. We have memory maker and tickets attached to the second portion of stay only. Will I be able to activate and use memory maker the couple days in advance of tickets, like when we visit disney springs and blizzard beach?

Hi there Angela, and welcome back to planDisney!

As the weather begins to get a little bit colder up in Ontario, there's really nothing like dreaming ahead of the sunny skies that await you at Walt Disney World Resort - especially when you can look forward to splitting the adventure between two Disney Resort Hotel accommodations! I reached out to the Disney PhotoPass Service team and here's what they shared about activating your Memory Maker

    • Once you've arrived in Orlando on the first day of your trip, use the My Disney Experience app to access the Disney PhotoPass section. Currently the options include Photo Gallery, PhotoPass Lenses and Shop Memory Maker - and you'll want to confirm that you have Memory Maker linked to your account. The Cast Members confirmed that at the present time this isn't necessarily tied to your first day visiting one of the theme parks nor when you check in for a particular stay, so you'll want to follow the details below when you're ready to activate it.
    • After taking photos with a Disney PhotoPass photographer, access the Photo Gallery to review the shots once they become available. (You'll see a Disney PhotoPass watermark across all of your images.) To remove these watermarks, when you select one of the photos a message window should appear that will prompt you to activate Memory Maker by selecting a wide green "Activate" button. Offerings and policies may be subject to change without prior notice and there's always a chance the My Disney Experience app may be updated after the current time of writing, so if you're having any difficulty with this it may be a good idea to visit the Disney PhotoPass Studio at Disney Springs sooner near the start of your trip so that the Cast Members can walk you through the steps in person while also taking your photos while you're there!
Be sure to keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for any announcements about upcoming Disney PhotoPass offerings and special shots ahead of your trip, and in the meantime we look forward to seeing you back here at planDisney again for any more advice or insight soon!

Here's to snapping some great shots over the course of your split stay!
