I have a split stay. Will Disney store my frozen breastmilk during the transfer?

Hello there, Rhiannon! Thanks for stopping by to see us! I am so glad that you stopped by to chat with us ahead of your next Walt Disney World vacation!

As you have now heard, Bell Services has announced that they will no longer transfer perishable items. This is specifically due to the difficulty of keeping them at the proper temperatures while in transit, as transit times can be up to 4 or more hours. However, refrigerated storage still exists at each Resort, and items can be kept cold before your arrival (for example, deliveries made to the Resort the day you check-in).

Regarding the transportation of breastmilk, I’d recommend packing it up in a hard-sided cooler if at all possible. Just be sure that you plan ahead so that items can remain cold as long as you need them to.  Of course, Bell Services would not be responsible for any items that may spoil during transit. Also, please know that Bell Services may refuse to transfer items, as the policy is subject to change. Please discuss this in advance with the Bell Services department of your Resort Hotel!

Alternatively, you can choose to transport your cooler of breastmilk to your next Resort Hotel and ask that they be held there, in refrigerated storage, until your Resort Hotel Room is available! As a reminder, a $6 per package handling fee will apply to all packages received through the Front Desk or delivered to your Disney Resort hotel room. If you prefer to avoid this charge or receive your items as soon as possible, I recommend stopping by Bell Services to retrieve them yourself as soon as you arrive at your next Resort Hotel!

Rhiannon, I hope that this information helps you continue to streamline your vacation plans! When traveling with a little one and/or pumping milk on the go, make sure that you visit the Baby Care Centers for a private place to pump and/or tend to any baby care needs.  A “split stay” obviously has many moving parts, but it will be so worth it in the end when you can experience that Disney magic we all know and love for multiple vantage points! How amazing! Please know that we are always here for you to help brainstorm or troubleshoot any of your Disney plans and dreams. It would be our pleasure to see you back here very soon!

    Wishing you many magical memories,
    Clara
