Hello Cynthia!
Wow, it is cool that you are considering experiencing two
Walt Disney World Resorts during your next vacation! Moving to a different Walt Disney World Resort during your vacation is not a hassle. I have done this very thing multiple times, which is quick and easy. Also, Disney will transfer your luggage from the first Resort you are staying at to the next one for free. Just take your luggage to bell services or luggage services the morning you check out of your first Resort and give them your name and the name of the Walt Disney World Resort where you are transferring to. You can have all your luggage transferred while you go to a Park with only a backpack or small bag and then check into your second Resort after check-in time. After you check in to the second Walt Disney World Resort, you can pick up your luggage at that Resort's Bell Services or have them deliver it to your room.
Disney treats each stay at a Walt Disney World Resort as a separate Walt Disney World vacation as far as
Advanced Dining Reservations are concerned. So you will be able to make Advancing Dining Reservations at the 60-day mark of your first Resort stay for the days of the first Resort of your split stay. Then you can make Advanced Dining Reservations at the 60-day mark before the first day of your second Resort stay. I have a split stay at Walt Disney World Resorts for November 2022, and I had two separate Advance Dining Reservations windows for that stay. If you make your Advanced Dining Reservations before your Walt Disney World vacations, they will be linked to your
My Disney Experience Account, not your Walt Disney World Resort reservation. So you can change the Walt Disney World Resort without affecting your Advanced Dining Reservations. Similarly, you can cancel one Advanced Dining Reservations without affecting your other Advanced Dining Reservations. I have changed my Walt Disney World Resort reservation within the 60-day mark, and my Advanced Dining Reservations were not affected.
I hope you have a magical trip and a comfy stay in two great Walt Disney World Resorts!
