Hi, Courtney! Thanks so much for stopping by with your question. I actually have the same sort of vacation coming up that you have planned. My younger daughter and I are visiting Walt Disney World Resort together this summer and we decided to stay at a couple of different Resort hotels. This is always a fun adventure because we get to try out the amenities, such as dining locations and resort activities, at different places.
Each time we have planned a split-stay, it has changed how we make
Advance Dining Reservations and
FastPass+ selections. When you complete each of these, only the days you are staying at your first resort will open when that stay's window opens. To clarify, when you are 180 days out from your check-in date at the first resort, then you will be able to make Advance Dining Reservations for your first resort's check-in day through check-out day. Then, when you reach 180 days out from the second resort's check-in day, the days you may book Advance Dining Reservations will expand to include all the days of that stay. The same will happen with FastPass+ selections, once you are 60 days away from check-in.
To make your transition between each Resort hotel as smooth as possible, be sure to complete
Online Check-In for both of your stays. Also, you will be able to customize MagicBands for each stay. If you prefer to just have one set of MagicBands, you will be given the option of declining either set. This will not affect your ability to gain entrance to either of your rooms, as the same MagicBands will work at both resorts.
I hope I explained this well enough for you, Courtney! Please pop by again if you have any further questions about your upcoming stays!
