Hello Karen, and welcome back to planDisney! I'm so excited that soon you'll be our guest at the Walt Disney World Resort.
My family and I love to explore all of the different options in the Disney Resorts Collection, so we frequently do split stays. Every time we stay somewhere new, my son declares it his favorite resort EVER. Our preferred itinerary is to start the trip at a theme park adjacent, high-energy locale like
Disney's Contemporary Resort, and then end our vacation with a few relaxing nights at
Disney's Old Key West Resort or
Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa. These resorts put us just around the river bend from
Disney Springs which is perfect for some last-minute souvenEAR shopping.
When you book a split stay, you have two separate resort hotel reservations, each with its own
60-day advance booking window for dining reservations and
Enchanting Extras. Beginning 60 days before your first check-in date, you can reserve dining and other select experiences for the length of your first stay. 60 days before your second check-in date, you can book advanced dining reservations for your subsequent stay.
I hope everything works out for you, and that all of your Disney dining dreams come true! Remember, if you can't reserve all of your preferred restaurants, or you enjoy a more spontaneous dining experience, you can always try
Mobile Dine Walk-Up Availability. With this feature on the
My Disney Experience Mobile App, you can add your party to the walk-up list at select table-service restaurants. Read about this and other updates on the
Dining: Know Before You Go page.
Thanks again for stopping by, Karen, and if there is anything else we can help with before your adventure begins, please come see us again.
Bon appétit!
Betsy
