How ya doin' Stephen and welcome back to planDisney!
Split stays are so much fun! Who doesn't want to see as many
Disney Resorts Collection hotels as possible in one stay?! You get to change the story you're in every time you move to a new one but still keep that same main character energy. Now, as far as those
Advanced Dining Reservations are concerned a split stay makes you a special case because it means you have 2 separate 60-day windows to consider. Plus because of the way your split stay is set up, those days are back to back. But don't worry I'm going to set you up with a special Taylor Dining Hack to help broaden your chances of getting what you want. It may seem a little crazy, but follow me.
1. Decide which dining options are the most important. For me, I haven't been to Walt Disney World if I haven't been to
The BOATHOUSE and
Chef Art Smith's Homecomin'. Make those immediately during your first 60-day opening. I know this might have your schedule looking a little stacked with 3 different dinners at 3 different times at 3 separate locations but it's okay, there's a method to my madness. This is just to ensure that you do indeed have a reservation to these restaurants to work with at all.
2. As soon as that second 60-day window opens up, make your other reservations, including the more appropriate times for the ones you've already made. "But Taylor then I'll have reservations to the same restaurant on different days!" Yes, you will Stephen. And you'll be able to cancel the ones you don't want and keep the ones you do while still having at least most of the options you've been dreaming about. You'll have what you want and another happy Guest will be thrilled to see that dining reservation pop back up in the
My Disney Experience app.
Pro tip: Cancel the unwanted reservations immediately! Please don't forget to cancel the reservations you don't need. Nobody wants to have to pay cancellation fees, Stephen. Nobody.
Stephen thanks for visiting us at planDisney. If you have any more questions, you
