Hey Howdy Hey Lauren and welcome to planDisney!
Split stays are one of my favorite ways to visit the Walt Disney World Resort. Having the benefits of checking out two resorts during your vacation is amazing and can even help you plan some extras such as
Extended Evening Theme Park Hours. Thank you for your question about your travel plans and this benefit. I will gladly give you more information on the details of the experience as well as what to do with your luggage!
Extended Evening Theme Park Hours is a benefit for Guests staying at a Disney Deluxe Resort, Disney Deluxe Villa Resort or other qualifying hotels. On select nights in select parks, this benefit will allow Guests to stay an extra couple of hours in the parks after they close to experience all of the attractions they may have missed during the day. I am happy to say that on the day you check into the resort as well as up to midnight on the day you check out, you are still considered a Guest of these resorts. You should be able to take advantage of this Magical perk on any of the days you stay at a qualifying resort.
Lauren, you bring up a great point about what to do with your belongings on the day of checking out of one resort and checking in on your other during a split stay. Do not worry; Disney has you covered!
Bell Services would be the place you want to visit. On the first leg of your split stay, on the day of your check-out, you can visit Bell Services with all of your belongings and let the Cast Members know you are transferring to another resort. They will gladly take your luggage for you and it will be whisked away to your next resort. Make sure to keep the slip they give so you can either collect your luggage from Bell Services at your second resort, or you can feel free to give them a call and they will deliver the bags to your room. While this process won't cost you anything, gratuities are always appreciated for the hard work and the great care the Cast Members will take with your belongings.
Lauren, I hope you have a Magical vacation later this fall, it sounds like you will be experiencing a lot! If you have any other questions, please let us know, we are always happy to help!
To Infinity and Beyond,
Nick
