We want to split our stay across 2 resorts. However when we select a package with the 1st resort booking with park tickets, those tickets cant be used past the checkout date in our 1st resort. How can we book 2 resorts bookings back to back but 1 package?

    Hi there, Joshua!

Thank you for bringing your question to us at planDisney! love that you're planning to double your magic with a stay in two Disney Resorts Collection hotels. While you can't go wrong with any combination, my husband and I love to start our vacations at a Value Resort and wrap up the magic in Deluxe-level luxury. We typically spend our earlier vacation days in the theme parks from open to close, before making time to recharge and enjoy the amenities of our Deluxe Resort hotel (convenient locations, incredible pools, and Extended Evening Theme Park Hours) once we transfer. This way, we enjoy the perks exclusive to Guests of Disney Resort hotels (such as Early Theme Park Entry) the entire vacation, but also save room in the budget to enjoy some delicious dining and purchase Disney Genie+ service

As you mentioned, when booking a split stay the date-based nature of theme park tickets can make things a bit tricky. I just confirmed with a helpful Cast Member that you will either need to purchase two separate packages (tickets with each hotel reservation) or make the resort hotel reservations and ticket purchases separately (two room-only reservations with a separate ticket purchase for the length of the vacation). Personally, I would recommend the latter option because you will typically notice that theme park ticket price-per-day decreases as the number of consecutive days purchased increases.

I think you'll find that September is such a wonderful time of the year to visit Walt Disney World Resort. The hottest days of the year will have subsided, and The Most Magical Place on Earth will be decorated in its autumnal finest. Two of my magical must-dos (the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival and Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party) will be on the calendar during your vacation, so I encourage you to save some time in your schedule for those special annual celebrations. As your vacation approaches, be sure to keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for updates on these events as well as the much-anticipated opening of Tiana's Bayou Adventure.

There's so much to look forward to this year, so it's a wonderful time to make some magical memories. If you need any additional assistance as you are planning, feel free to stop back by. Hakuna Matata. I'm always happy to help!

    Thinking happy thoughts,
    Lizzie
