How do I split my reservation to take advantage of free dining package?

    Hi Robert,

How exciting that you will be visiting Walt Disney World Resort towards the end of the summer. Many kids go back to school and crowds slowly start dwindling, and Mickey offers us some excellent Special Offers like a Free Disney Dining Plan.

We always try to take advantage of deals and save some Disney Dollars, so we try to be flexible with dates and Resort hotel selections in order to take advantage of them. But sometimes this is not possible and hence many Guests opt for split reservations. Here are some suggestions.

For this year, the offer is available for arrivals starting on August 21, 2017. Since you would be arriving a day earlier, you should make two reservations: a room-only or a ticketless package with dining for the first night, and then a free dining package for the rest, with an extra day for tickets. You should speak with a Vacation Planning Specialist at (407) 939-1936 or your travel agent. Once you arrive, you can pick up your Theme Park Tickets from your second leg earlier by visiting Guest Relations at the entrance of any Theme Park. Note that you would only be able to make same-day FastPass+ reservations for that first day.

One last tip: the Disney Rewards Visa Cards from Chase have Limited-Time Offers, including a Free Dining Offer for Cardmembers for arrivals starting on August 13, 2017. Happy planning!
