Can I split meals at all of the restaurants? I have the deluxe dining plan but have a teen who is very picky and would rather just try some off my plate then eat a meal at each place. Then we can use her meals at other places. Is that possible?

It's great to see you here today at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Michelle! I'm so glad that I get to answer this question for you right before you leave for your trip to Walt Disney World Resort. My family really loves to use the Disney Dining Plan when we're on vacation and you're in for an indulgent treat this week when you use the Disney Deluxe Dining Plan which includes an appetizer, entrée, and dessert at each Table-Service meal. You should take this opportunity to branch out and try lots of new things because there really are some world-class restaurants to enjoy.

If you're traveling with a picky eater, you are not alone! Picky palates are very common at Walt Disney World Resort so menus are crafted with everyone in mind from adventurous eaters to the mac and cheese and chicken tenders crowd. If your teen doesn't find anything that she wants to eat off of the menu, she is more than welcome to share off of your plate if that's what works best for everyone. You do not need to use a Dining Plan credit for her if she chooses not to eat. There are a few exceptions, like buffets and family-style meals, Character Dining, and dinner shows, where everyone who is named on the reservation will either need to pay the listed price or use their Dining Plan credits, but those restaurants usually have lots of dishes to choose from and your daughter can eat as much or as little as she likes. You can check out the menus for every dining location before you even arrive for your vacation so have a look at the places you're planning on dining at so you know exactly what to expect when you sit down to eat!

    Have a magical day, Michelle!
