We are spending a week at Disney later this month. Our first night in Orlando will be spent at a Downtown Disney hotel. When moving to the Wilderness Lodge, are we permitted to take our luggage onboard the shuttle bus running to the WL from Downtown?

Hi Troy! When moving within the Disney resorts the resorts will help you with your luggage transfers. I have not worked with any of the Downtown Disney resorts so not sure of the policy there but be sure and ask if they can assist you to the Wilderness Lodge.

If not I don't recommend taking the luggage on the buses as they are not equipped for large objects. Even strollers must be folded down to a minimum. If you have smaller pieces you could do this but it isn't easy to get on and off with luggage!

I recommend you simply spend about the $15 a taxi would cost and head over to the Wilderness Lodge for your transfer. It would be the best money spent as it is easy and very quick. If you have a large family request a van cab and if you need car seats request one with those as well.
