Hi! We are spending NYE at DHS (yay!) so we would like to have a relaxed day (ie..no parks) on the 30th..but we would still love to see the MK (pre)NYE fireworks..is there somewhere we can do so without entering the park on the 30th?

    Hi Nancy,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I can think of no better way to ring in a the New Year than celebrating at a Walt Disney World Resort Theme Park. Information about  this year's New Year's Eve festivities has not yet been announced but, in the past Disney's Hollywood Studios has had a live DJ dance party, additional showings of Fantasmic!, and a special Lights, Camera, Happy New Year! fireworks show at midnight. You are going to have an amazing start to 2016!

Some of my favorite spots to view Wishes nighttime spectacular outside of Magic Kingdom Park are the beach area at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort and the Marina at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, right near the Gasparilla Island Grill. Both locations offer an absolutely breathtaking view of the fireworks show!

Be sure to check the Disney Parks Blog for any updates and new event information for New Year's Eve. I hope this information helps. Please stop back by should you have any additional vacation planning questions!

    Magical Wishes,
    Susan
