we will be spending 3 nights at Port Orleans Resort - Riverside or Pop Century and advice would be great. We have a 3&5 year old only want to spend 2 days in the park MK both days or MK and which other park? this is our 2nd trip we loved MK AK&DHS

    Hi!

My children, ages 11 and 6,  have always enjoyed every Walt Disney World Resort hotel they have been in.  For a Moderate resort, both prefer the Alligator Bayou section of Port Orleans Riverside.   For  a Value resort, they both like Pop Century; they like the huge, larger-than-life icons such as a Big Wheel bike, bowling pins,  giant yo-yo, etc. that can be found throughout the resort.  Thus I think your children would enjoy both hotels that you are considering.  For me personally, I prefer Port Orleans Riverside.  I love the theming there, the relatively large pool, and the boat transportation to Downtown Disney that's available.  I find the boat trip especially relaxing and fun at night.

With regards to which parks to visit, when my now 6  year old son was 4, he all of the theme parks, including Epcot.  However, his favorite has always been the Magic Kingdom, followed by Disney's Hollywood Studios.  They both have a lot of attractions suitable for young children.  Since you've never been to Epcot, I recommend giving that park a try.  However, I suggest spending most, if not all of your time, in Future World.  i have found that young children are generally not a huge fan of the World Showcase portion of Epcot.

Enjoy planning and write back if you have any questions!
