About how much spending money should I give to my 2 teens? I want them to budget their spending and not keep asking me for more money. It would be for snacks and souvenirs only, not meals. we will be at the parks 5 days and 1/2 a day at Disney Springs.

    Welcome to planDisney, Amanda!

Thank you for stopping with an excellent question. It is a pleasure to help you plan magical memories for your family at the Walt Disney World Resort!

I will soon be visiting with my pre-teen daughter and teenage sister, and I plan to give them money they can use to buy souvenirs and snacks. Of course, each family is different, but my daughter usually buys two snacks a day at the parks. Although prices are subject to change, the average cost for a snack is around $5.99 to $6.99 plus tax. As for souvenirs, I am not sure what your teens plan to buy, but my sister loves buying pins, magnets, pens, and pencils. I recommend visiting shopDisney.com to check out average merchandise prices and items they might be interested in, but remember that the prices on the website may be different from the prices at the parks.

My tip is to purchase your teens a Disney Gift Card, which I usually do for my daughter. They are accepted at most dining and retail locations at the Walt Disney World Resort, and you can purchase them ahead of your visit and manage them online. In addition, you can buy Disney Gift Cards at merchandise locations at the Walt Disney World Resort.

I hope this information is helpful, Amanda! Come back to visit us real soon if you have additional questions, we are delighted to help!

    Best magical wishes,
