Spending our honeymoon at WDW next Oct for 3 weeks & his kids b3, g5, g6 will be joining us the last week. We are planning on AKL &switching to Cabins at FW when the kids come.Suggestions on dining. Which restaurants for 2 , which for 5

    Julie:

WOW 3 weeks!! Talk about a honeymoon!

My first suggestion is to make the most of your time together at the Animal Kingdom Lodge and enjoy a meal at Jiko's (the filet and macaroni & cheese are probably one of my favorite dishes at Disney) and one at Sanaa.  Sanaa's view of the animals is spectacular, as many come within feet of your dining view.  Many of the dishes are perfect for sharing!  For a romantic dinner, I'd consider California Grill, with its skyline views of Disney or Narcoossee's with a window view of the Magic Kingdom fireworks!

For family dining, again, make the most of your resort stay at Fort Wilderness.  I'd highly recommend Mickey's Backyard Barbecue with its dance party and all-you-can-eat ice cream bars that will be quite a treat for the kids after they're hot and sweaty from dancing their hearts out with Mickey!  A boat ride away is Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary Resort for a meet-and-greet meal with Mickey and the whole gang.  Ohana's at the Polynesian means family but in my book it means family fun!  Our kids enjoy limbo and the coconut races while my husband and I can't get enough of the shrimp and skewered beef!

A few character meals would also be a good fit, especially with two princesses.  Consider Akershus for a late brunch with all the princesses at Epcot or dinner at 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian featuring not only Cinderella, but also Prince Charming and the Wicked Stepsisters!

And these recommendations only scratch the surface!  Even though you'll be there for 3 weeks, there are so many restaurants on property, you still won't have time to eat at all of them!

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
