Hi Danielle! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Birthdays are always fun, but they are that much more special when spent with loved ones at The Most Magical Place On Earth! And speaking of magic, I do have a few tips up my sleeve.
If you choose to check-in to your Walt Disney World Resort Hotel in person, your son should get a special birthday celebration button complete with his name and age. If you choose to check-in online you can always request a button from the front desk of your resort hotel, or at
Guest Relations. Have everyone in your party request an "I'm Celebrating" button, and write in your sons name. Wear these everywhere and make sure they're visible. It's not guaranteed, but they've been known to pack their own amount of pixie dust.
Book a special birthday dinner at one of Disney's
amazing table-service restaurants, but do so over the phone where you can note that you're celebrating a birthday. Reservation can be made by calling (407) WDW-DINE or (407) 939-3463. Don't forget to order a
specialty cake while you're making your dining reservation!
You can always decorate your resort hotel room, complete with window clings and banners on the windows. Or
Disney's Floral and Gifts can decorate for you before your arrival.
And lastly, I can't think of a better way to wake up on my birthday than by a special wake-up call! Push the 'Wake-up Call' button on your room phone the night before to be greeted with character in the morning.
I hope that your son has the best birthday yet, Danielle, and we'll see you real soon!
~Kristen
