Spending our first day at HS and then ADR at Cape May Cafe for 5:10pm on 12/11, Since there are no Characters at dinner, will we have time to make it back to HS for Fantasmic at 6:30pm? We will have our car.

    Hi Kristi,

Sounds like you're starting your trip off with an action packed day - I like it!  Sometimes action packed trips can bring forth some dilemmas when choosing what you want to do most.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Cape May Cafe for dinner. The seafood buffet was super yummy.  I loved the fried shrimp.  Since it is a buffet, the food is ready as soon as you walk in the door so that cuts down on wait time.  But if your party consists of big eaters, you may be there for at least an hour and I'd recommend taking the time to enjoy it.

I think you may have a tough time making the 6:30 p.m. performance of Fantasmic! Even if you rushed through dinner, you still have to get to the Studios, parked and make your way to the Fantasmic! Theater.  Because they only have one performance of Fantasmic! that evening, everyone who wants to see it, will be going then.  Guests sometimes begin lining up 60 - 90 minutes prior to showtime.

While it may not be totally out of the question to make part of the performance, I'd opt for dinner at Cape May Cafe or attending Fantasmic!  That way you can relax and not rush through your yummy dinner or you can breathe easier knowing your chances of seeing Fantasmic! are greater.  If you opt for dinner & are staying at a Disney Resort hotel, you can still head over to the Studios afterwards and take advantage of evening Extra Magic Hours scheduled for 8 p.m. - 11 p.m. that evening.

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison
